Snow is coming to Norway

Well, it's official. Winter is coming, there will be snow coming tomorrow. Ugh. Also, more good news, my Adsense account has been disabled, why it has been so baffles me...

But it's not all bad. Tomorrow I'm going to audition for "Clash of the Choirs", a TV-show with 6 competing choirs from different parts of the country. And I'm going to get myself some skis and start skiing once the snow has settled :-) Hope there's sun and good weather where you are!

The party yesterday was amazing!

Hello everyone! Had an amazing party yesterday, got some presents, 3 LPs, some bottles of wine and some other stuff, but the coolest thing was a jedi bathrobe from my girlfriend, very comfortable and warm to wear, and looks great for star wars fans like myself. I also lit some fireworks yesterday, to celebrate. Good times were had by all. Had a lot of musicians and singers over, we sang and drank and had fun until 5 in the morning... Hope your weekend was just as good as mine.

My birthday is this saturday, it will be an amazing party at my house, with lots of cold beverages, drinks and other consumables. Most likely I'll make a bonfire, or at least a barbecue, not sure yet. All I know is that it will be GREAT! Hope you're all doing good :-)

My nephew's 1st birthday party today

Today is my nephew's 1st birthday party, I'm sure it will be great, family and friends, good food and cake - what could go wrong? I bought him one of those mini excavators (the ones you sit on and play in the sandbox), hopefully he'll get some fun out of that, he enjoys tractors and whatnot. Have a nice weekend everyone!

Relaxing sunday

Hello everyone! Have had lots of stuff going on this weekend, was at a huge party on saturday, with live music and people having fun! A friend of mine was wearing a black&white prisoner outfit, with ball and chain and everything, hehe. Another was wearing a clown outfit with a huge sombrero, although it was not a dress-up party.. They are a pretty wild bunch. Hope you enjoyed yourself as well!

Oh, I forgot to add that I watched the first episode of Boardwalk Empire today, looks very promising!

Hiking two days in a row - and who will be my 200th follower?

Hello everyone, exciting that you're reading this! On sunday I was on a hike to a valley called Lerdalen, or to be exact - the tall side of the valley, then I took this picture, took it on my phone so the quality isn't that good, but you get the idea, was a nice small hike, about 1 hour 30 minutes. And we saw a little frog, so cute! Took a picture of that too, maybe I'll post it sometime later. I took the same trip yesterday, but it was a little late in the evening so it got dark while I was walking, luckily I brought my flashlight!

On a sidenote, getting close to 200 followers, who will be my 200th? I really appreciate everyone, especially those that comment and click on the stuff I have here on my blog.

Sunday morning breakfast

Hello and good morning everyone, hope you're having a great weekend! Was just relaxing with my friend yesterday, I made homemade lasagne and we watched a movie, "en ganske snill mann" (a somewhat gentle man in English). This morning I've lit a fire in the fireplace, and made bread, it will be delicious with some cheese and tomatoes. Maybe we'll go for a walk later if the weather isn't too bad. Apologies for not checking in, and banjo by the sea

Hey everyone, have been busy busy with a lot of stuff, sorry for not being able to be on your blogs every day to see what's up. I barely got time to do anything today, was at work as usual, then I took the time to pick my banjo for a few minutes after I got home, before showering and going to choir rehearsal... We will have a concert soon, it will most likely be a good concert, looking forward to it!

Very rainy monday and tuesday

Was on a trip to the highest mountain, Kolbeinsvarden, on Askøy, the island where I live yesterday. It was windy, rainy and overall not so that good hiking weather, but it was a nice trip anyway. This picture is not from yesterday though, because we couldn't see anything, it was just grey. So instead of that I post archive footage from the same mountain. We have a saying in Norway: There is no bad weather, only bad clothes. Have a nice day!

Party yesterday, it was great!

Hey everyone! Was at a party yesterday, in a naust (boathouse) nearby, it was awesome, we made a fire and had a barbecue, lots of stuff to drink and people had fun. There was even some dancing, but no fighting, just good times. Hope your weekend was just as awesome as mine!

The weekend is here again, I won't try to tell you what you should or shouldn't do, the most important thing is that you enjoy yourself, spend some time with the people you care about, maybe eat some good food and have a few drinks, maybe not.. It's your life, use it. I will have myself some pizza and a couple of beers, and then go visit my sister, I'm sure it will be great.

 

Great looking local boats

Today's post will be about boats, or specifically one of the boat factories on the island I live. There are a few boat factories here, Viknes, NB Marine, and some more. And then there is Dolvik, they make more expensive mahogany boats, they are handcrafted, and I want one of them if/when I can afford it sometime.. The boat on the picture is one of their boats. Do you like it?

Wednesday's workplace

Today was a nice day at work, sunshine and it was overall good. This is a picture of today's workplace, or a bit further away. I was at a dock there, fixing stuff as usual. Hope you enjoy my pictures and tiny stories.

Passed by an old building at work today

Was working close by this building today, it's a nice old church, and I like old buildings! This is the Sandviken church in Bergen. I didn't take the picture but found it on the internet, since the camera on my phone sucks badly.

Today's mountain walk!

I will walk up Ulriken today, the weather is beautiful, about 18-19degrees celsius! Will be a very nice walk I'm sure.

Ulriken is the highest of the Seven Mountains (de syv fjell) that surround Bergen. It has an altitude of 643 metres above sea level.
Ulriken has an aerial tramway, Ulriksbanen, that can bring people to the top. At the top there is a TV tower, a restaurant, and free telescopes.

There is a network of trails to climb Ulriken. However, many of them are poorly or unmaintained, rendering the journey difficult for people in less than fit condition. There are few visitor facilities on the way up. Bridges and steep sections can be particularly difficult, especially in less than perfect weather conditions.

Was in Krakow in spring this year, it was nice, lots of old buildings and good beer!

Lost Weekend festival picture

I saw a sailboat

Here is a picture of the sailboat I saw, too bad it didn't have its sails out, but kinda cool anyway. I like looking at boats, probably because I come from a family of fishermen. Anyway, it's time for bed, work tomorrow as usual...

Waterskiing

Was waterskiing a few weeks ago with my nephew, he's in the water here, we are a few minutes away from where I live.

Hey, this is a picture of a sunset  on the beach on the bird-reservation about 15 minutes away from where I live. Very nice place to be and look at the beautiful nature, you get all peaceful and blissful inside.

This is my old new amp

 Hey everyone, this is my new old amp, that I got for free during summer. It's a 1980 or 1981 Roland Bolt-60. Nice to have old stuff that people give away, works just fine!

New old guitar

I like to play guitar, this is a picture of my latest investment, a 1973 Ibanez SG. Plays very well and is in very good condition ;-) I love it!
